RavenhasflowndownfromhisworldabovetheskyandhasfilledtheEarthwithcreatures.Butwhenheseesthatthepeoplehaveforgottentorespectwhathehascreated,Ravenangrilyripstheshiningsunfromitsplaceinthesky,leavingtheEarthtofreezewithjustthemoonforlight.Lifebecomeshardforthepeoplebelow.LittleDarknessisanordinaryInuitboy,exceptthathehasbeenbornwithaspecialgift.Buthewillonlydiscoveritwhenhefindsastrangeobjectontheiceandhearsthehauntinglullabyhismothersangtohimwhenhewasalittlebaby.Indecidingtopickuptheobject,hisadventurewillbegin,takinghimintoavastworldbeyondimagination.Hisjourneywillchangehim,theEarth,andallitsinhabitantsforever.SongoftheRavenoffersanInuitmessageofhopeandhealingforchildren,parents,teachers,andanyonewhowantstocherishandsustainourbeautifulEarth.
